Techniki Ekpedeftiki is one of the largest private training and advisory services organizations in Greece, in the field of continual vocational training and human resources development.
Techniki Ekpedeftiki was founded in 1994 in Athens. Its activities have attained nationwide coverage with the operation, in addition to Athens, of fully equipped training centres in Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Crete, Ioannina, Karlovasi in Samos and Myrina in Limnos. As an organization it has been certified according to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard by TUV AUSTRIA-HELLAS.
Techniki Ekpedeftiki, gaining one of the highest scores amongst the CVTs, is accredited as a nationwide Center of Vocational Training (CVT) by the National Accreditation Centre for Continuing Vocational Training (E.KE.PIS) in 9 subject areas: Environment, Tourism - Services, Agriculture, Tech - Transport, Health and Welfare, Culture and Sports, Educational, Business - Management and Information Technology.
Techniki Ekpedeftiki is a certified examination centre for the
Infocert diploma. The Infocert standard is approved by the Or¬ganization for Vocational Education and Training (Ministry of Education) and constitutes a new standard for the certification of computer skills and knowledge, approved by the Greek Government. In addition, it is a Vocational Center for the new electrical - electronic technology bus, certified by ΕΙΒΑ (European Installation Bus Association) in Brussels.
A few years after its inception, it realizes significant growth with a continuous pacing upwards to date and is reflected by the following numbers:
- 6 vocational centers are already operating in Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion in Crete, Ioannina, Karlovasi and Myrina with prospects of immediate expansion.
- During the 3rd Community Support Framework (CSF) (2002-2008), over 110 projects were implemented through co-financing by the European Social Fund (ESF), the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of National Economy, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Interior, the Administrative Regions of Greece, the GNTO the Greek Manpower Organization (OAED), KEDKE, numerous Prefectures and Municipalities of Greece. It collaborates with hundreds of private companies as well as scientific and educational institutions of Greece, the European Union countries and the wider region of the Balkans and the Mediterranean.
- In all of the country's regions, Techniki Ekpedeftiki maintains and renews a per¬manent network of associates, which enables the rapid and reliable implementation of each operation. These include local and social organizations and bodies, education and employment institutions, private enterprises, companies and individuals, assuring its further, consistent monitoring of new developments and innovation in its subject fields.
- Techniki Ekpedeftiki constantly monitors developments, not only in the area of technological support - infrastructure of its educational work, but in its teaching methods and educational tools to boot. Thus, it develops and improves its educational material (e.g. designing training packages, book publishing in collaboration with publishing firms, etc.) and methods - educational systems (e.g. development of a platform -system of distance training).
- The international range of activity of Techniki Ekpedeftiki develops and expands. It is associated with more than 50 scientific and educational institutions in transnational projects and Community Initiatives by countries of the European Union. In the period 2002-2008, Techniki Ekpedeftiki implemented 62 training programs with instructors from other EU countries while it implemented another 12 by sending trainees abroad.
